Millfield Care Home in Bolsover offers residential, nursing and respite care and is widely recommended within the community as a provider of amazing healthcare for older people. This year marks the home’s 30th birthday, and to say that the team celebrated in style would be an understatement! We couldn’t wait to hear all about it.
When we say that our homes always have wonderful music acts lined-up, we truly mean it. Millfield invited Alan Turner to the home, who has even featured on The X-Factor, and he sang a wide range of songs, catering to fans of Motown, The Beatles and Cliff Richard in particular.
With families always welcome at the home, it was an excellent turn-out on the day and residents got to party and dance surrounded by their children, grandchildren and closest friends. It truly was a day to remember for everyone.
The day also made for the perfect moment to celebrate the 30th ‘workaversary’ of Domestic Housekeeper Elaine, who has supported the home fabulously since the very first year it opened its doors as Millfield. She received a card and gift and got to enjoy the terrific Summer Fair/30th Birthday party with her colleagues.
Someone else to receive a token of appreciation was Home Administrator Sam, who worked tirelessly to ensure that the day ran perfectly from start to finish and that everything was well-coordinated, as usual.
Home Manager, Karen told us: “It makes everything we do worthwhile to see our residents enjoying themselves. The support from the community was amazing. Thanks to my amazing care team for helping our residents make happy memories.”
